Geneva is a major administrative centre of the canton of the same name located in South-West Switzerland. It is the third biggest city in the country with population of 185 000 people. According to the quality of life, Geneva ranks among the leading cities in the world. It is a seat of international and non-governmental organizations and referred to as the “Peace Capital”. The official language is French, but English, Russian, Portuguese, Arabic and Spanish are spoken as well. The currency is the Swiss Frank (CHF). Currency can be exchanged in banks, post offices and rail stations.
