For a fifth consecutive year, the photography exhibition under the name „Bulgaria– an attractive tourist destination” starts its journey around the country from Sofia Airport. This year there is a new subsection to the main photography competition titled “European support for beautiful and attractive Bulgaria”. The photos present natural, cultural and historical sites at different Bulgarian cities that have been restored and reconstructed with the support of European funding programmes.

Sofia Airport’s unknown faces in photos
Today the photography exhibition under the name “Sofia Airport’s unknown faces” was opened at Terminal 2. The authors – Ognyan Stefanov and Yane Golev presented about 115 photos of colleagues holding different positions at the airport.

40 300 more passengers were serviced at Sofia Airport in August 2014. For the period they totalled to 378 782 – a 12 % increase in comparison to last year.
Passenger flow increased by 13 % on international scheduled flights and holds a 92 % share of total airport traffic.
Some of the leading airline companies at Sofia Airport achieved an increase between 24 %and 34 % per annual basis, which is an indication for the increasing demand on Bulgarian aviation market.

Sofia Airport opened a photography exhibition displaying natural and historical landmarks in Bulgaria.
Terminal 2 public zone shows imposing panels that attract the attention of passengers and visitors at the airport with photos of the beautiful cities of Melnik, Nessebar and Bansko, the Boyana Church, St. Alexander Nevski Cathedral, the bizarre shapes of the Belogradchik Rocks, the Panagyurishte Treasure and others.
