Sofia Airport opened a photography exhibition displaying natural and historical landmarks in Bulgaria.
Terminal 2 public zone shows imposing panels that attract the attention of passengers and visitors at the airport with photos of the beautiful cities of Melnik, Nessebar and Bansko, the Boyana Church, St. Alexander Nevski Cathedral, the bizarre shapes of the Belogradchik Rocks, the Panagyurishte Treasure and others.
The project is carried out with the support of the Ministry of Economy and Energy and Standart newspaper, while Sofia Airport is the host of the event.
The opening of the exhibition was attended by Deputy Minister of Transport Georgi Todorov, Chief Editor of Standart newspaper Slavka Bozukova, Executive Director of Sofia Airport Hristo Shterionov and other official guests.
"I am convinced that the largest airport in Bulgaria with more than 3 000 000 passengers per year serves as an appropriate background for the display of the landmarks that we admire and are proud of. The Belogradchik Rocks, Melnik, Nessebar, Tsari Mali Grad, the Boyana Church, St. Alexander Nevski Cathedral, the Rila Lakes, the Panagyurishte Treasure will fascinate passengers and make them respect the cultural-historical heritage of Bulgaria” – Mr. Shterionov said.
The exhibition can be viewed by passengers at Sofia Airport for a month.
